Golden Globe Awards 2018
On January 7, 2018, the Golden Globes awarded their best motion pictures picks for the 2017 movie year. Amidst sexual scandal in Hollywood, women dresses in black to protest such harassment, and men wearing “Time’s Up” pins (the name of a spin off group from the “Me Too” movement) to show their solidarity, the gathering attempted to be a social statement as well as a gala honoring celebrities.
