Parent Previews Privacy Policy

We know how concerned you are about privacy because we are too. With that in mind, please be assured that we will treat your information on our site as if it were our own. Please read this document so you better understand what we do with the information we may gather during your visit.

Who We Are

For consistency, we will be referring to this web entity as Parent Previews. Parent Previews is a division of One Voice Communications Ltd., an entity incorporated in the Province of Alberta, Canada.

Personal Information Collection

Any Internet site you visit is recording your IP address. If you don’t know what an IP address is, it’s like a phone number. Every computer on the Internet needs one. Technically, especially if you have a dedicated broadband Internet service, it is possible to identify you through your IP address. However your Internet Service Provider (the company you pay to have Internet service) should never reveal your identity unless asked to do so by an authorized law enforcement agency. We don’t have that power, so all we can discover from your IP address is a general idea of where you live usually narrowed down to the city or area you may reside.

Using your IP address we can also track how often you visit our website and where you go while you are here. We use this information to track how visitors use our site and to learn what they like and what they don’t. Your IP address becomes one of millions in our database that is aggregated into a continual flow of statistics. We do not routinely share this data with other parties, but it is possible that our database of IP addresses and other server log data may be shared and used as verification of traffic to our site for the purposes of soliciting advertising or other marketing matters.

Our server may also attempt to place a “cookie” on your computer for further purposes of tracking where you go on our site. This cookie also makes using our site more convenient for you. Again, we have no way of identifying you through this cookie. It’s like assigning a random serial number to each of our visitors. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you may disable this function by changing the options or preferences in your web browser. Consult your web browser's "Help" function for assistance.

Finally, your computer volunteers information about itself whenever you visit an Internet site. We can detect what kind of operating system you use, what Internet browser you have, and other tidbits of technical info. Our web server uses this information to refine the code it sends back to your computer to enable you to have the best experience possible on our site.

Your email address will be revealed to us if you enter it into a request form on our website. If you use your email to simply communicate to us, we will store the address in our off-line email archives, in the same way you may save your email. If you sign up for our free membership, which allows you to post content on our site, your email address will be stored in a secured section of our on-line server.

We may, from time to time, use comments contributed by our visitors for the purposes of promoting our website. These comments will never reveal your name or any other identifying information.

The bottom line is we will NEVER publish your email address on the Internet, unless you actually enter it yourself in one of our comments areas. (We highly recommend you do not do this, and we usually scan and remove any email addresses we find entered into these public forms.) We will NEVER sell your email address to anyone else no matter how much money they offer us... we hate spam as much as you do.
