Live Action Cinderella Waltzes on Screen in March 2015

One of Disney’s most popular princesses is getting ready to waltz onto movie screens again in March 2015. This life-action story of Cinderella stars Lily James as Ella, a young girl who is orphaned after her father dies leaving her in the care of her new stepmother, the evil Lady Tremaine (Cate Blanchett).

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the movie cast also includes Richard Madden, Stellan Skarsgård, Derek Jacobi and Helena Bonham Carter. Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera star as the wicked stepsisters.

Disney also plans to precede the movie with the debut a spinoff animated short Frozen Fever. The story picks up after the events of the studio’s billion-dollar blockbuster Frozen as Elsa and Kristoff plan a special celebration for Anna’s birthday.
