Thor Hammers the Weekend Box Office

Without much competition in theaters, the Marvel Comic hero Thor managed to earn well over $85 million this past weekend. While Thor: The Dark World failed to make it into the $100 million club, the film saw a 30% increase from the first Thor movie, which, according to Box Office Mojo, made $65.7 million on opening weekend.

Ender’s Game, the story of a futuristic world where children are the military leaders, fell to fifth place this week after nabbing the top spot last week.
