Studio Starts Filming for New Captain America
After raking in a tidy sum of $191.3 million on opening weekend, The Avengers: Age of Ultron has given Marvel Studios plenty of reasons to commence principal photography for Captain America: Civil War.
Filming will take place in Atlanta, Georgia as well as Germany, Puerto Rico and Iceland. This third Captain America installment is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and stars Chris Evans as the iconic super hero Steve Rogers.
The storyline picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve leads a team of Avengers in their effort to protect humanity. However another international incident involving the super heroes results in collateral damage that causes political pressure to more closely monitor the actions of the team and to make them more accountable for what happens when they are called into action.
The film is scheduled to release May 6, 2016.
