When the release of a movie’s trailer can interrupt the buzz of Black Friday, you know there’s going to be money to be made—and you don’t even need The Force to make that prediction. The first Star Wars movie to be released under the Disney umbrella is set to release in December 2015. Now that you’ve whet your appetite, the UK newspaper The Guardian has dug through the archives to discover another interesting Star Wars tidbit. Mark Hamill who, of course, played Luke Skywalker, was interviewed on Britain’s ITV over thirty years ago. During the interview he spoke about George Lucas suggesting he could return to play a part in Star Wars in “about 2011”. Hamill says, “Gee, as much as I’d like a job lined up at the turn of the century I was figuring how old I’d be at that point and I thought, ‘Well, I don’t know…’”.
Now that the future’s here, I’m certain Hamill is happy for the work.
