7 Summer Movies (We Hope) Will Be Family Friendly
The summer blockbuster season is just around the corner so pull out your movie passes and get ready for these releases.
Avengers: Age of Ultron officially kicks off the season when it opens in theaters on May 1. This follow-up story finds Tony Stark trying to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program but things go awry and it is up to Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye to save the planet from total destruction.
Disney’s Tomorrowland releases May 22. George Clooney stars alongside Britt Robertson (The Longest Ride) and Tim McCraw (The Blind Side) in this futuristic story the pair set out on a dangerous mission to uncover the secrets of a place known as Tomorrowland that exists in their collective memory.
The dinosaurs are back in a new Jurassic World adventure that comes out June 12. Unfortunately things go wrong again as the park where geneticists create a hybrid beast to encourage new park visitors. Chris Pratt plays a park employee who is swept up in the mayhem when the dinosaurs turn on one another.
The animated movie Inside Out opens on June 19. The script goes inside the head of an 11-year-old girl who has just moved to a scary new city. But her Emotions are on a mission to make sure she stays happy until Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of her mind leaving Fear, Anger and Disgust in charge of her emotional wellbeing.
Max is a former member of a canine unit in Afghanistan. When he is released from service, the family of the soldier that worked with him on the war zone adopts the highly trained military dog. The film releases June 26.
