News About "All I See Is You"
All I See is You was screened during the 2016 Toronto Film Festival, and received 50/50 reviews from critics. I suppose that should be expect from a film about a person who only has sight in one eye…
Blake Lively takes on the role of a woman. blinded in her youth, who undergoes a medical procedure that returns sight to one of her eyes. Jason Clarke plays her husband, who has a hard time dealing with the new independence his wife acquires with her restored vision.
Rated R by the MPAA, All I See is You features some sex scenes that won’t be appropriate for family viewing. Apparently, the script feels like it is groping to find a compelling plot line too, which may disappoint adult audiences as well. You can expect more slow-moving drama than fast-paced thriller out of this film that is billed as both.
All I See is You is directed by Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace, Stranger Than Fiction), who also helped write the screenplay with Sean Conway. Other cast members include Yvonne Strahowski, Danny Huston, Ahna O’Reilly and Wes Chatham. The movie was acquired by Open Road Films and slated to release in theaters on August 4, 2017.
