Here is additional information on sex, violence and profanity in The Wolverine...

Violence: Frequent depictions of fighting, beating, shooting, stabbing, impalement, hanging, mutilation and explosion—often with blood effects. During a period war scene, Japanese soldiers commit suicide with swords. A character fights men in a bar: He stabs one man through the hand with a poisonous arrow, it is implied that another is decapitated (we see him fall to the ground). Many other scenes depict similar fights involving knives and swords along with other weapons. Men fight on top of a high-speed train; one is hit by an object and thrown through the air. A character is tossed from a balcony on a high building. Characters are stabbed with poison objects. Characters are seen impaled with swords. A character is shot many times with arrows—we see these sticking out of his back. Characters are sprayed with a poison/acid substance.

Sexual Content: A man is seen bathing (upper rear nudity is briefly depicted). A man and woman are shown in bed. A man and woman check into a “Love Hotel” and are later shown in bed together (they are clothed). A man is engaged in sensual play with two women—all are wearing scanty underwear. Men and women kiss.

Language: A single sexual expletive is used, along with infrequent scatological terms and mild profanities.

Alcohol / Drug Use: Alcohol is consumed in bars and other situations.
