While spending time in detention together, five diverse teens (Hayley Kiyoko, Naomi Scott, Adam Hicks, Blake Michael and Bridgit Mendler) discover they share a love of music. With the encouragement of a teacher (Tisha Campbell-Martin) the group forms a band called Lemonade Mouth.

Violence: High school students are harassed and bullied by adults and other teens. Characters are punished for speaking out, accidently hitting a teacher with a ball and skipping class. Teens lie to and fight with their parents. Students attack two deliverymen. A fight breaks out in a pizzeria.

Sexual Content: Characters wear short skirts and some shoulder revealing outfits.

Language: Name-calling is used briefly, along with some mean-spirited song lyrics.

Alcohol / Drug Use: None noted.
