Synopsis

Members of a fire-fighting crew literally trust their lives to one another's hands. This is especially true for Jack Morrison (Joaquin Phoenix) when he faces one of the worst blazes of his career. And it is the driving force behind Mike Kennedy (John Travolta), as the chief of Ladder 49.
