After watching a movie with your children or students, we encourage parents and teachers to look for education opportunities to teach with movies. Here are a few discussion topics that can help with lesson plans or teaching in the home.
Can you think of any other options, besides the conclusion offered in the film, that would have saved the tree and still accommodated the new factory? Is a significant landmark like Old Oak more important than a job-creating business?
What role did the media play in helping Mess’s cause? What side does the media usually take—the underdog (like Mess) or big business? Why?
