Synopsis

Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) were figure skating rivals until an altercation got them both thrown out of the World Championships forever. Then they found a loophole! They can try for the gold again, but only if they enter in the pairs' competition. The question is: Do they love the sport enough to stop hating each other and work as a team?

Here is additional information on sex, violence and profanity in Blades Of Glory...

As a rogue competitor, Chazz’s disregard for skating etiquette makes him stand out on the ice with his crotch-grabbing, crude routine. Off ice, his sex addition results in the constant discussion of sexual themes. He also turns to alcohol and illegal drug use (one depiction) to help him cope with stress. Later in a drunken stupor, he vomits while performing a skating routine for a children’s program. Meanwhile, Jimmy’s flamboyant antics on ice inspire the admiration of a stalker who threatens to kill the skater some day. During their preparations for pair’s competition, both Chazz and Jimmy are seen in their underwear, kicked in the groin and engage in provocative moves. One character discusses masturbation and later fondles a woman’s clothed breasts. The film depicts some brawls resulting in bloody injuries, a reenacted drug overdose and numerous portrayals of gross-out humor. As well, the script contains vulgarities, scatological slang, profanities and rude hand gestures.
