Disney Plans to Revisit Indiana Jones
Move over Harrison Ford. After successfully portraying the adventurous archeologist Indiana Jones in four movies, Ford may be handing over his fedora and bullwhip to a younger actor waiting in the wings.
Disney appears to be ready to revisit the Indiana Jones franchise since acquiring the rights from Paramount in 2013. And the face of the new hero is rumored to be Chris Pratt. Pratt’s career began in 2000 with the short film Cursed Part 3. But this past year he moved into the bankable actor category with his role as Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy. He also did the voice of Emmett Brickowoski in The Lego Movie.
The success of both those movies seems to be enough to reassure the studio Pratt has the necessary star quality to be the face of the Indiana Jones reboot.
