Coming to Disney+: May 2021

The big news for Disney+ subscribers this month is the Mouse House’s hybrid release of its PG-13 live action prequel, Cruella. It will be coming to Disney+ and theaters at the end of the month. It doesn’t look kid-friendly, so keep an eye out for our review.

May 7:

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer In this family friendly action flick, the evil Galactus sends the Silver Surfer to challenge, you guessed it, the Fantastic Four. PG, Grade: B+

Flicka 2: Angry at being sent to live with her father on a ranch in Wyoming, Carrie only starts to put down roots when she meets a wild mustang named Flicka. PG, Grade: A-

May 14:

X-Men: The Last Stand When a drug to prevent all genetic mutations becomes available, the mutants known as the X-Men are in a battle for survival. PG-13, Grade: C+

Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast When a comet unleashes a Neverbeast, the denizens of Pixie Hollow are alarmed. But the animal-loving fairy, Fawn, and her friend Tinker Bell face the challenge of helping their fellow fairies learn to love their new friend. G, Grade: B-

May 28:

Cruella Did you ever wonder why Cruella was so determined to make all those dog skin coats? This live action film provides the flamboyant villainess’s back story with Emma Stone in the lead role. (Our review will be posted on release date.) PG-13
