3 2 1 Penguins—Trouble on Planet Wait-Your-Turn Parent Guide
These penguins mix black and white morals with computer animation, witty scripts, and zany characters.
Parent Movie Review
From Big Idea (the creators of Veggie Tales), comes an out-of-this-world video series that proves once and for all penguins can fly.
In the premier episode, sibling strife simmers between Jason and Michelle Conrad when the seven-year-old twins are left at Grandmum’s country cottage for the summer. Convinced they have been exiled to some alien (and very boring) world, Jason determines to hook up his new video game to the elderly widow’s archaic TV set. Soon sparks are flying over who gets to play first.
As push comes to shove, the wise matriarch dishes up some sage advice from the Good Book. But the contention begins anew after the children retire to the bedroom. Busily playing with Grandmum’s precious penguin figurines, Michelle is interrupted by her brother’s discovery of a ladder leading to a hidden attic observatory. So, who gets to look though the telescope first?
The sore loser scoops up the abandoned Antarctic birds, stuffs them into a toy rocket—and suddenly things stop being dull. The spacecraft and its occupants zoom to life, introducing the vainglorious Captain Zidgel, the brainy Dr. Fidgel, the brawny First Officer Midgel and Kevin (a blithe creature of nondescript abilities). Frantically the oddball crewmembers enlist the boy’s help to save the inhabitants of a far away planet called Wait-Your-Turn.
It quickly becomes apparent that a lack of patience and courtesy are universal problems, as the residents of the far-flung solar system seem to be behaving just like the Conrad kids. Soon even the flighty penguins are infected with the “cutting-in-line” bug. And it is up to Jason to find the antidote.
Like the Veggie Tale franchise, 3-2-1 Penguins mixes black and white morals with computer animation, witty scripts, and zany characters. Building on Bible-based messages, the story has a Sunday school feel, while the birds in the orange spacesuits provide plenty of humor and fun. With little if any content issues, and a portrayal of family life that most siblings and parents will identify with, Trouble on Planet Wait-Your-Turn is sure to soar with audiences looking for value in their entertainment.

3 2 1 Penguins—Trouble on Planet Wait-Your-Turn Parents' Guide
Grandmum’s British upbringing is manifest with her choice of Kidney Pie for supper. Are their any foods or traditions in your family that come from your cultural background?
Grandmum quotes a proverb about patience to the children when they are arguing, and Jason recites an adage about hard work when he wants to use his video game. Are there any maxims that have inspired you?
