Furious 7 Wraps Up With Some Help from Paul Walker’s Brothers
The death of Paul Walker in November left a big hole in a franchise that along with fast cars celebrates family. While mourning the loss of the actor, the studio had to decide if and how it could complete filming for the movie Fast & Furious 7—now simply called Furious 7.
On a Facebook page, Universal Studio executives posted this comment in April. “We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too.”
Luckily most of Paul’s action and dramatic scenes had already been shot. To fill in the missing scenes, the filmmakers have brought in Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, to film Paul’s last scenes.
“This film is the most important we’ve ever done together. It will allow the characters of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role,” said the moviemakers.
The first Furious 7 trailer released on November 1. As well the first posters from the movie have been revealed. One of them features the movie’s cast including Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. The second promotional poster shows an up close shot of a tire with the cast in the distance.
With the movie’s release only months away, the trailer and poster will give fans something to enjoy until the film hits the big screen in April.
