Halloween Haunts the Cineplex with Scary New Titles

Halloween is in full swing on store shelves, front porches and movie screens. So if you are ready for a good scare, here’s what cinemas are dishing out. Dracula Untold is an origin story starring Luke Evans as the Transylvanian prince who goes to the dark side to protect his family.

Also showing in theaters is the horror movie Annabelle. This R-rated film stars a creepy looking child’s doll that’s into murder. For something spooky but less scary check out The Boxtrolls. This dark animated story introduces a bunch of sewer dwellers that use boxes for clothes.

Looking for more Halloween haunting? Watch for these upcoming movies. The colorful animation The Book of Life celebrates the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead and opens October 17. Strange events begin happening when a young woman uses an old Ouija board to contact a dead friend in the movie Ouiga. The PG-13 film opens on October 24.
