Catching Fire Blazes to a New Record

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire set the box office on fire with an estimated $161.1 million dollar weekend according to Box Office Mojo. The sequel to The Hunger Games is the best opening ever in November and bested all three of the Twilight movies that released during the same time period.

Thor: The Dark World fell 61 percent from its standing last week but still managed second spot in theaters. The Best Man Holiday dropped 58 percent to third. Delivery Man, a Vince Vaughn comedy about a sperm donor who fathers 533 children only managed to pull in $8.2 million on its opening weekend.
