Big Movies on the Small Screen (2010)
Have you seen some good movies lately? Are you wondering when you will be able to take home some of the best 2010 titles on DVD or Blu-ray?
With the advent of September, the studios are gearing up to release some of their finest offerings (from this and past years), hoping you (the consumer) are beginning to contemplate the upcoming gift-giving season.
Here is a list of blockbusters slated to hit store shelves over the next few months. So if you are gathering present suggestions for back-to-school, Thanksgiving, Hanukah, Christmas or just an end of the year birthday, you might want to keep an eye out for these films:

Just incase your home library doesn't already include these movies, Warner Home Video and New Line Home Entertainment are releasing them again. This time, they are available for purchase as individual titles. The three LOTR movies made their first Blu-ray début on April 6, 2010 as a boxed set. But avid fans should be warned: neither the Trilogy nor these discs include the extended versions of the films.

The Sound Of Music (Blu-ray)
This classic musical turns 45 this year, and in celebration this beloved film will release on Blu-ray. It will also be available on DVD and in a DVD/Blu-ray Combo Pack.
White Christmas (Blu-ray)
A holiday staple in many homes, this 1954 movie will dazzle in Blu-ray just as the world begins dreaming about a white Christmas.

Do you remember Disney's digital 3-D animated version of Charles Dickens' famous tale that released in theaters in 2009? Well, here is your chance to bring home the holiday humor, with actor Jim Carrey providing his voice for Ebenezer Scrooge and for the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as well.
Avatar (Blu-ray)
This collector's edition of the technologically stunning sci-fi is also rumored to be making its second début on Blu-ray . This version is said to contain over 45 minutes of footage and deleted scenes that are not included in the version that released on April 22, 2010.
