Pirates Seize the Spotlight

Captain Jack Sparrow may be one of the more eccentric pirates to ever sail the sea but he isn’t the only one to be immortalized on the big screen.

Pirates are aplenty in the animated tales of Peter Pan and Return to Never Land. A live action tale of the famous buccaneer with a missing hand stars Dustin Hoffman as the nefarious leader in Hook. A day at the beach turns into the adventure of a lifetime when a man and his children are forced to escape in their magical flying car after they encounter pirates in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Finding a bottle washed ashore, a child is granted the chance to be a pirate on Blackbeard’s ship in The Boy and the Pirates. Even vegetables take to swashbuckling in the animated movie Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything: A Veggie Tales Movie.
