What’s Ahead for Harry Potter Actors

Two weeks after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the movie still ranks fourth at the box office. But after a decade of playing Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are hoping for new opportunities in their individual careers.

However, they and their costars have already been busy with other projects. Radcliffe garnered praise for his stage work. Grint performed in several smaller films and Watson voiced the character of Princess Pea in The Tale of Despereaux.

Meanwhile Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) starred in movies including Nanny McPhee Returns and Clash of the Titans. Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) took roles in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Something the Lord Made and Alice in Wonderland. Michael Gambon (Professor Albus Dumbledore) appeared in The King’s Speech, The Book of Eli, Amazing Grace and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
