Home Video Releases for April 7

Family viewers won’t have a lot to choose from this week with three R-rated movies on home video shelves.

Ryan Reynolds stars as a man who hears voices—the voices of his dog and cat. And then he starts following their advice, including their suggestions to kill others in the movie The Voices.

Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac appear in the crime drama A Most Violent Year. The drama unfolds in New York City in 1981, one of the city’s most violent years in history. Isaac plays an immigrant who capitalizes on the violence to gain power.

Marion Cotillard plays a newcomer to the country who is taken in by a stranger in the movie The Immigrant. But his charitable aid is a lie when he forces the young woman into a life of prostitution.
