Home Video Releases for April 28

Families finally have a fun option to bring home on home video this week. The adventures of Paddington release on DVD. This story introduces audiences to the little British bear who is adopted by the Brown family after they meet him at London’s Paddington Train Station.

The rest of these weeks r-rated releases are less family friendly. In Inherent Vice, Joaquin Phoenix plays a private eye who has been around the block a time or two. Now a former girlfriend is hiring him for a job.

Doug Harris is a bad spot. He’s getting married but he can’t find anyone to be his best man so he has to hire someone to stand by his side in The Wedding Ringer. Kevin Hart plays the character that makes a mess of the ceremonies.

In the dramatic thriller The Boy Next Door, Jennifer Lopez plays a recently divorced high school teacher who gives into friendly flirtations with her son’s handsome friend. But after allowing him to seduce her, she discovers he won’t walk away from their relationship.

Jim Bennett is another teacher and risk taker who finds himself in trouble after a bet goes bad in the movie The Gambler. Now his life, and that of a student’s is on the line if he can’t pay the money back.
