Ahoy, matey! Whether you’re looking for a way to celebrate International Talk Like A Pirate Day on September 19 or set sail for a pirate-themed birthday adventure, we have a whole shipload of buccaneer movies to help you stay afloat.

Aardman Animation brings a bunch of clumsy, amateurish sailors to the big screen in the movie The Pirates - Band of Misfits. Unfortunately these crewmembers have repeatedly lots the annual Pirate of the Year competition.

Johnny Depp stars as the swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. When his ship is stolen he attempts to steal the British Navel’s fastest vessel. Depp reprises his role in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. One of Tinkerbell’s fairy friends joins a group of pirates after taking off with the magic Blue Dust that powers fairyland in the animated movie The Pirate Fairy.

A family traveling from Europe to the new world is shipwrecked on a deserted island after they are attacked by a boatload of marauding pirates in the movie Swiss Family Robinson.

The story gets updated in the futuristic film Treasure Planet.

Robin Williams plays a grown up Peter Pan who has to return to Neverland when his children are kidnapped by his childhood enemy in the movie Hook.

A farm boy crosses paths with the Dread Pirate Roberts while seeking for his fortune in the movie The Princess Bride and leaves his promised bride in the hands of a less-than-perfect prince.
