Here is additional information on sex, violence and profanity in Take the Lead...

Frequent mild and moderate profanities will present the greatest concerns to parents. The high school students depicted in this movie also face challenging personal issues, like mothers who have turned to prostitution, alcoholic fathers, peer pressure that encourages them to be involved in drugs and stolen goods operations, and racial prejudice. The character of Dulaine also offers a sensual dance demonstration in order to convince his students that dancing is fun. On the positive side, students are forced to overcome personal prejudices and differences in order to dance together and become a unified group.
