While serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka the Mormon Church) in Saratov, Russia, two young men (played by Corbin Allred and Maclain Nelson) are kidnapped and held for ransom. This movie is based on a true story.

Violence: Characters are subjected to death threats, guns held to their heads, chocking, as well as beatings with sticks and fists. The film contains depictions of men being hit with glass and heavy objects. Characters are handcuffed, gagged and blindfolded with adhesive tape, and help captive. Bruises are seen on faces. A parent breaks into inconsolable sobs after hearing bad news.

Sexual Content: An unwed, pregnant woman is mentioned.

Language: Verbal threats are uttered. No profanity noted.

Alcohol / Drug Use: A character drinks alcohol and offers it to others. A man is shown smoking, and another begs for a cigarette after his wife tries to force him to break the habit. Dirty medical syringes are seen. Characters wonder if some fruit juice is fermented.

Other: Frequent depictions of people praying.
