Synopsis: In the name of political alliances, Caroline Mathilde (Alicia Vikander) of Great Britain marries King Christian VII of Denmark (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard) only to discover he is insane. When she meets her husband’s doctor (Mads Mikkelsen), the two begin an affair and try to reform the country.
