News About "Renegades"

Renegades, previously titled The Lake, has had it's fair share of troubles while trying to establish a theatrical release date. As of August 1, 2017, it has no release date! In the past it has been bumped (according to Wikipedia) from July 15, 2016, to January 20, 2017, May 2016, to January 27, 2017, and then September 1, 2017.

The film features five Navy Seals who take a detour from orders while serving in Bosnia after learning of a shipment of Nazi gold that got lost during WWII. The group has reason to suspect the bars at the bottom of a lake in enemy territory. Although taking such risks might cause some a moment of caution, this team seems to come alive as the action and danger increase.

Expect plenty of violence from this script that is penned by Richard Wenk (The Equalizer, The Expendables 2) and Luc Besson (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Taken). Stars include J. K. Simmons, Joshua Henry, Sullivan Stapleton, Ewen Bremner, Dimitri Leonidas and Diarmaid Murtagh.
