How We Determine Our Grades

I have not yet seen the movie but I did just finish the book it was based on. (bought it late one night and finished it early the next day) If they at least came close to what the writer was trying to convey I will look forward to seeing it. Obviously not for children, maybe for older teens (17 and up). It paints a very bleak picture but shows how love can keep hope alive even in the most desperate situations. If you have children it will make you want to wake them up just to hold them.

There wasn’t much swearing in the book so hopefully they didn’t add much more. I hope they keep the ending the same. If I am able to see it in theaters I will be happy to come back and let everyone know how it stood up.

We ended up renting the movie. Again wish I could bleep the language. Still not as much as a lot of movies these days. They did keep to the feeling of the book and the ending was almost word for word. The one thing they left out that I wish they had put in was at the end where it said the woman would talk to him (the boy) about God. I really wish we could get more Christians in the movie business to do these kinds of movies without the language. OR, have a really loud noise happen just as a character would have said a bad word so they could still imply that bad guys talk like that in a post apocalyptic world without us having to actually hear it!:) Now THAT’s movie magic!
