I was extremely disappointed by this Hallmark Movie. It starts with both parents dying, the mother being an alcoholic, has scenes from a brothel, shows the ocean filled with blood as the mermaid gets her tongue cut off, shows the mermaid going to attempt to murder Hans with a knife. My kids hated it (at least the parts where they weren’t hiding their eyes). They are 12 and 7. Certainly this movie should be rated for violence.
