How We Determine Our Grades

Hi. My child asked me if he could see this movie last week, and it looked like a good movie, but I heard it was pretty violent. So I came here to find out what that was. I then watched the movie myself and my opinion changed. I noticed you said in your review:
“What the filmmakers don’t show are any of the negative outcomes these drivers’ actions would surely have on the general public, i.e. accident reports, insurance claims, property damage, bodily injury or, more seriously, funerals following a hit-and-run incident.”
There are plenty counts of property damage and physical injury directly related to driving recklessly in this movie. Also, you say the filmmakers don’t show negative outcomes like “funerals following a hit and run incident”. A funeral following a hit and run incident is what this movie is based upon. Dom attends Letty’s funeral following a hit and run incident. He then tries to find the man who did it and take down a drug lord, not get in to the cartel. Also, if crushed cars were a reason for this to be rated PG-13, Herbie the Love Bug movie would be rated that. Please don’t make up your own plot, you might be depriving some kids of a great movie. I taught my children the difference between real life and make believe, they wouldn’t act this out in real life.
