This movie should be rated C for violence and alcohol. The horse is beaten cruelly several times, and winds up killing one of his attackers, a drunken man gambles away everything and gets killed driving his carriage while drunk, one of the secondary characters goes to war and is stabbed in the gut, shot several times and impales a bad guy wit a spear just before he drops dead center screen. My kid had nightmares.

Black Beauty should be rated C in Violence and Alcohol use.
Several deaths center screen, several inebriated scenes, and several beatings of the horse.
