When Adrienne Willis (Diane Lane) agrees to take care of her friend's remote country inn for a few days, she is imagining an opportunity to get way from her problems at home with an unfaithful husband and a rebellious teen. What she doesn't expect is to take a romantic interest in the establishment's only guest, Dr. Paul Flanner (Richard Gere).
