Based on the real life activities of the WWII Ferry Command, a group responsible for flying airplanes from Gander, Newfoundland (the most easterly land-based airport in North America at the time) to war-torn Europe, this Canadian-made miniseries follows the political posturing and the personal risks involved for the heroic men and women who went Above and Beyond the call of duty in the fight for peace.
