Usually, Bud Johnson (Kevin Costner) is an unshaven, beer-loving man, content to be the victim of life's circumstances. But that all changes when his proactive daughter (Madeline Carroll) registers him for the vote. Due to some problem with the election processes, Bud finds himself in the middle of the American presidency campaign -- with the daunting responsibility of casting the deciding ballot.
