Why is What If (The F Word) rated PG-13? What If (The F Word) is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for sexual content including references throughout, partial nudity and language.

Violence: A man is accidentally knocked out of a second story window, but does not appear to suffer any life-threatening injuries. While holding a large kitchen knife, a man makes a veiled threat to another man. A character punches another in the face and knocks him down a set of stairs. A character describes the details of a death.

Sexual Content: Couples make out at a house party. Characters often discuss sex acts and anatomy. A couple kisses passionately. Partial nudity is shown when a couple goes skinny dipping and then spend the night naked on the beach. The dialogue contains frequent sexual discussions and crude comments. Characters engage in casual sex without any commitment or consequences.

Language: The script contains one use of a strong sexual expletive along with frequent crass sexual dialogue and vulgar terms for sexual actions and anatomy. Infrequent profanities, cursing, scatological slang and terms of Deity are also included. Some slurs and crude bathroom humor are also used.

Alcohol / Drug Use:Characters drink on numerous occasions in both social settings and alone. Some characters appear to be drunk. Characters also smoke.
