In the last episode of the original Star Wars trilogy, Luke Skywalker and his friends gain control of a forest moon to help the Rebel Alliance overthrow the Galactic Empire.

Violence: C

Robots are tortured by having their feet burned; limbs are also torn off. Characters are fed to huge creatures. A crowd is threatened with a hand held bomb. Characters have their throats crushed and another is strangled. Characters fall through trap door into the cage of a huge hungry beast: a fight for life ensues and one is consumed graphically. Door falls and crushes character. Characters receive electrical shocks. Numerous battle sequences occur with characters fighting against each other in spaceships or hand-to-hand combat. Characters use weapons like blasters, lightsabers, and various rudimentary devices such as slings, spears, bows, arrows, traps, rocks and logs. Characters race dangerously on speeding vehicles and crash into trees. Vessels explode, loss of life assumed.

Sexual Content: A-

Several females appear scantily clad, including one wearing a collar and leash. Couple embrace and kiss.

Language: A

Minor insults and name calling only.

Alcohol / Drug Use: B

Character smokes pipe. Drinks served at party.

Miscellaneous Concerns:

Young children may be saddened by the death of some cute teddy-bear-like creatures, and two other major characters. The body of a deceased character is burned.
