Flor (Paz Vega), who has come to Los Angeles from Mexico, finds work as a domestic helper for the Clasky family. Even though she does not speak the same language, the woman quickly understands the subtle tensions between the Mr. and Mrs. ( Adam Sandler and TŽa Leoni), as well as the problems faced by their over-weight daughter (Sarah Steele) and alcoholic grandmother (Cloris Leachman).

The DVD release of Spanglish is dished up with commentary from writer/director James L. Brooks and crew, twelve deleted scenes (with optional commentary), two featurettes: HBO First Look: The making of SPANGLISH and Casting Sessions (also with optional commentary), as well as Thomas Keller of French Laundry showing you “How to Make the World’s Greatest Sandwich.” You also get the complete screenplay on DVD-Rom. Audio tracks are available in English and French (both in Dolby Digital 5.1), with closed captioning and English and French subtitles.
