Why is Self/Less rated PG-13? Self/Less is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for sequences of violence, some sexuality, and language
Violence: Many scenes include portrayals of gun, weapons, and hand-to-hand violence, with little blood and some detail. Car chases and accidents are portrayed, with people being injured or killed. A character is set on fire and burned to death. Frightening imagery ensues after the brain swap. Some medical procedures are portrayed.
Sexual Content: A man and woman undress (we see little detail, with the exception of rear nudity) and we see some sexual activity. Later we see a montage of women from the shoulders up, lying on a bed in a sexual situation—no explicit nudity or detail is shown.
Language: One sexual expletive is used in a non-sexual context. Scatological slang, profanity, religious cursing, and vulgar expressions are heard infrequently.
Alcohol / Drug Use: A character is seen frequently taking prescription medication.
