Young Buttercup (Robin Wright) should believe all her fairytale dreams have come true when she is chosen to be the bride of Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon). Instead, the despondent girl prepares for the royal nuptials while still grieving the loss of her true love Wesley (Cary Elwes). Then, before the big event can take place, the future princess is mysteriously kidnapped.
