Rating & Content Info
Why is Peaceful Warrior rated PG-13? Peaceful Warrior is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for sensuality, sex references and accident scenes.
This film’s biggest content issues are sexual activity (a man and woman take their shirts off—she is seen in a bra), rude sexual humor, a couple kissing (they may both be females), and mild to moderate profanities along with terms of deity used as expletives. For the most part, all of these elements are depicted as negative behaviors, and are part of the protagonist’s “growth.” A motorcycle accident is depicted, and a body is shown crashing to the ground. A dream sequence portrays a man’s leg disintegrating into pieces. Many scenes show university students drinking and becoming intoxicated. In one short scene, a man lights a cigar and pours a drink, then suggests smoking and alcohol consumption are okay as long as one has control over their addictive tendencies.
