In 1979, author James Baldwin shared his plans to write a personal account of the lives of three of his friends: Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. -- all of whom had been assassinated for their involvement in the cause of civil rights. But he never finished the manuscript -- so this documentary is filmmaker Raoul Peck's version of Baldwin's untold story.
