August Rush (Freddie Highmore) is a gifted musician and an orphan. Believing his parents (Keri Russell and Jonathan Rhys Meyers) are still alive, the young boy leaves the orphanage and sets off to find them. Along the way he acquires performing skills and the help of a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams).
