After watching a movie with your children or students, we encourage parents and teachers to look for education opportunities to teach with movies. Here are a few discussion topics that can help with lesson plans or teaching in the home.
Older teens viewing this film are advised to do so with parents (or teachers) who can discuss the topics presented. Discuss whether or not the movie presents an overall bias for or against the oil companies, Arabs, and Americans. Ask viewers if watching the movie makes them feel like they have little or no control over this situation, then consider ways in which individuals could influence the energy industry—by altering our consumption habits for instance.
