After watching a movie with your children or students, we encourage parents and teachers to look for education opportunities to teach with movies. Here are a few discussion topics that can help with lesson plans or teaching in the home.
Simon Birch leaves many unaswered questions, but that may give rise to some good discussions after the movie. For instance, Simon’s determination to find his purpose in life is something you can explore with your children. Do they feel there is a God who has given them a purpose for being here?
Also, what can we learn about those around us who have physical differences and how did Simon cope with those differences?
