After watching a movie with your children or students, we encourage parents and teachers to look for education opportunities to teach with movies. Here are a few discussion topics that can help with lesson plans or teaching in the home.
How does the movie script use the technology gag to demonstrate the generation gap? What are the strengths and weakness of each age group?
What positive roles can grandparents play in a child’s life? How is their approach different from parents? What benefits have you observed in relations between children and grandparents?
What are ways families can overcome geographic distances? Aside from obvious technological tools, like communicating over the Internet, what are other ways families can build relationships and stay close?
