When Henry Poole (Luke Wilson) buys a house in the suburbs, all he is looking for is some peace and quiet. Unfortunately, his nosey new neighbors just won't leave him alone. And things get worse when one of them (Adriana Barraza) becomes convinced a stain on Henry's stucco is really a holy manifestation. Soon there are pilgrims all over his backyard.
