After watching a movie with your children or students, we encourage parents and teachers to look for education opportunities to teach with movies. Here are a few discussion topics that can help with lesson plans or teaching in the home.
What kind of relationship does D.J. share with his grandchildren? How do they feel about him? What kinds of things do you enjoy, or would you like to do, with your grandparents?
D.J. and Knobby have a very different view of the lumber business. Is it likely that D.J. would be so willing to preserve the forest for the gnomes? Considering his career, does he have an unusual appreciation for nature and especially for the Redwood trees?
