Symptoms of Consumption/Tuberculosis are shown, including the blood covered shirt of a character that is having a coughing fit. A young woman becomes deeply depressed when she fails to receive letters from a man she loves, and asks for a knife to kill herself. A small bloody wound is shown. An unmarried couple kisses and caresses. Discussion occurs about an unwed woman who has become pregnant and some mild sexual references are made. One mild profanity is used in the script. Social drinking and smoking is shown.
